2000-2001 South Bell Street in Arlington, Virginia is part of a larger redevelopment of National Landing, the location of Amazon’s new headquarters, just outside of Washington, DC. The project includes two residential mixed-use towers on a shared underground parking podium, with approximately 20,000 SF of ground floor street facing retail. Nahra served as the advising Retail Architect on both towers, working with the design and development teams from the schematic design phase through lease up. Nahra advised on the configuration of retail infrastructure, logistics, storefront design, ground plane integration and other aspects of the base building configuration to be considered when delivering high-value retail space in a complex mixed-use tall building. Additionally, Nahra supported the retail leasing efforts with key tenant test fits, retail design guidelines, demising studies, lease plans and other collateral.
