Brynn is an Interior Designer who has experience in hospitality, multi-family, and residential design. Prior to joining Nahra Design in 2022, Brynn worked for a DC-based architecture firm focused on hospitality design. During her time there, she designed restaurants and wineries in the DC area, Chicago, New York, and Dubai. With a keen attention to detail and an eye for combining textures and colors into thoughtful palettes, Brynn loves to watch projects evolve and come together throughout the design process.
Prior to moving home to Washington, DC, Brynn spent several years living in Austin, TX where she found her passion for restaurant design while exploring the city’s food scene. This experience is what eventually prompted Brynn to go back to school for a Masters in Interior Architecture. Prior to receiving her Masters, Brynn worked in marketing for a real estate development company that developed, leased, and managed retail shopping centers. Her final project was a mixed-use development in Williamsburg, VA, which was comprised of 240 housing units and a retail component of nearly 64,000 SF of leasable space.
Brynn holds a Masters in Interior Architecture from George Washington University. During her time at GW, Brynn earned an honorable mention in Steelcase’s prestigious NEXT competition, designing an office space meant to encourage community and idea sharing through the incorporation of social spaces. She also won GW’s IA MFA Studio Award – a peer-selected award celebrating her high quality of work and ability to support and collaborate with her cohort. Brynn is currently pursuing her NCIDQ certification. In her free time, Brynn is an avid tennis player and enjoys playing frisbee golf with her husband and Cavalier King Charles, Bear.
