Italian born Architect Lavinia Fici Pasquina has over 18 years of professional design experience ranging from large scale government and commercial buildings to highly custom residential projects. With a focus on the synthesis of creativity with sustainability, Lavinia also specializes in industrial design and interior architecture.
Innovative and forward thinking, Lavinia focuses on the narratives behind each design project. With her European background, extensive study, and appreciation of the history of architecture and modern technologies, she is able to create custom designs in tune with the unique personal styles of each client.
Lavinia received her first Master’s degree in Architecture from the School of Architecture in Palermo, Italy with summa cum laude distinction. She obtained her second Master’s Degree in Architecture from the CUArch, receiving the Henry Adams Medal and Certificate of Excellence in Architecture from the AIA, as well as the Paul A. Goettelman award for “Best of Thesis Prize”. Her designs have been published in such magazines as Spaces, Metropolitan Home, Elle Décor, Abitare, and Glamour.
Lavinia is a tenured Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Planning at the Catholic University of America, where she serves as the Director of the Emerging Technologies and Media Graduate Design Concentration.
