Patrick is an analytical designer, problem-solver and attentive listener who believes that simple is often better. His early professional design background is in commercial base building, civic and institutional projects. Patrick believes that architecture is should reflect a culture’s values and address the triple-bottom line of sustainability: social, ecological stewardship and economy. When working on a project Patrick strives to bring balance between the needs of the site, the context, the client and the environment.

Outside of the office Patrick enjoys learning about history, playing guitar, exploring national parks, and spending time with friends and family. Patrick enjoys traveling, new experiences and great conversation. While in graduate school, Patrick worked in the school woodshop where he developed a deep appreciation for how details come together and the great satisfaction that comes with building something with your hands.

Patrick holds two master degrees from The Catholic University of America School of Architecture and Planning: Master of Architecture and Master of Sustainable Design. Before studying architecture, Patrick developed a deep interest and concern for sustainability while earning a Bachelor of Science in General Biology at the University of Maryland.
